Caring for the community with senior snack socials

At Optum Nevada, building healthier communities is what we are focused on. One of the ways we do this is to be present where our seniors live and gather. That’s why we started hosting senior snack socials. These events take place at local community centers, senior living apartments and senior neighborhoods. The idea is to bring simple, friendly events to those who value the time and connection.

Each social lasts about an hour and is attended by Optum provider and one broker. They can answer light medical or Medicare-related questions. We also provide snacks and refreshments to keep the atmosphere warm and welcoming. These socials are not a sales pitch or a health fair. They offer the chance to spend quality time with local seniors, answer their questions and be part of the communities we serve.
